Bin Valet operates this store and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services, in order to provide you with access to our website and weekly wheelie bin move subscription services. These Terms of Service explain the rules that apply when you visit our website, place an order, purchase a subscription, or otherwise communicate with us about the Services.
Please read these Terms of Service carefully. By using and accessing any of the Services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, you should not use the Services.
What These Terms Cover
These Terms of Service apply to:
- Your use of the Bin Valet website and any related pages or forms;
- Any purchase or order you place through our website; and
- Any communications between you and Bin Valet relating to the Services.
Bin Valet subscriptions are also governed by our Service & Billing Terms and our Subscription Policy (Cancellation Policy). If there is any conflict, the Service & Billing Terms and Subscription Policy apply to the subscription service.
Eligibility and Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to purchase from us.
- If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account.
Service Description
Bin Valet is a weekly wheelie bin move service billed monthly by subscription. We move bins to the council collection point on your council collection day and return them after collection, based on your chosen plan.
The current plan bin limits are:
- Weekly Service Plan: up to 3 bins
- Custom Plan: 4+ bins
If you have more than your plan allows, we may require you to upgrade to the correct tier.
Orders, Pricing and Availability
- All prices are shown in NZD unless stated otherwise.
- We may update pricing, availability, service areas and plan details from time to time.
- Any subscription price change will apply from a future billing cycle after notice, as set out in the Service & Billing Terms.
Subscriptions, Billing and Cancellations
- Bin Valet is sold as a recurring monthly subscription unless clearly stated otherwise.
- Your subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled.
- Cancellation rules and refund rules are set out in the Subscription Policy (Cancellation Policy) and Service & Billing Terms.
Customer Responsibilities
To deliver the Services, you agree to provide accurate details, including your service address, council collection day and access instructions, and to maintain safe access conditions. If we cannot safely access the bins or complete a visit due to reasons outside our control, the visit may be skipped and is not refundable, as further described in the Service & Billing Terms.
Changes to Service, Pauses and Downtime
- We may change routing, scheduling or operational methods to improve service quality.
- From time to time the website may be unavailable due to maintenance, outages or other issues.
- We are not liable for website downtime.
Promotions and Discounts
If we offer promotions, they apply only as stated and may have limits, including time limits, eligibility requirements or one-per-household restrictions. We may withdraw or amend promotions at any time where permitted by law.
Website Use and Acceptable Conduct
You agree not to:
- Misuse the website, including by hacking, scraping, interfering with the site or introducing malware;
- Attempt to access systems or data you are not authorised to access; or
- Use the site for unlawful, misleading or abusive behaviour.
We may suspend or block access to the website where we reasonably believe there has been misuse.
Intellectual Property
All website content, including logos, copy, images and branding, is owned by Bin Valet or our licensors. You may not reuse any of it commercially without written permission.

Our site may integrate with third parties, including payment providers, subscription platform features and analytics services. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party sites or services.

Consumer Rights (New Zealand)
Nothing in these Terms of Service limits your rights under New Zealand consumer law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act where applicable.
If you are purchasing for business purposes, some consumer protections may not apply.
Liability and Disclaimers

- We do not guarantee uninterrupted website access;
- We are not responsible for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, including weather, council disruptions or emergencies; and

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, strikes, major outages, civil emergencies or council disruptions.

Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and disputes will be handled in New Zealand courts unless the law requires otherwise.
